Made-to-Measure Roller Blinds, Fitted Free Across Bolton, Wigan and Chorley
A roller blind is the simplest window dressing there is: one flat panel of fabric that rolls neatly away when you want the light and comes down in a second when you do not. That simplicity is exactly why it remains the blind we fit more than any other, from terraced houses in Horwich to new-build estates in Buckshaw Village and family homes in Standish.
Here at Bespoke Blinds we have been making roller blinds to measure for more than 30 years. Choose from over 500 fabrics, including 70 blackout options, sheer and screen weaves, moisture-resistant finishes for kitchens and bathrooms, and plain, textured or patterned designs to suit any room. We measure for free, make each blind to the millimetre in our own workshop, and our own fitters install it at no extra charge. Every roller blind carries our 3 year guarantee, and you can spread the cost with Klarna.

Which Roller Blind Fabric Is Right for Your Room?
The fabric does most of the work in a roller blind, so it pays to match it to how the room is used. These are the four groups we talk customers through on every home visit.
Dim-out fabrics soften daylight and give full privacy without making the room dark. They are the all-rounder for living rooms, dining rooms and home offices, and they come in the widest range of colours and textures.
Blackout fabrics have a coated backing that stops light passing through the cloth. With a cassette or side channels fitted, they are the choice for bedrooms, nurseries and anyone who sleeps during the day. Read more on our blackout blinds page, or see our guide to blackout blinds for children’s bedrooms.
Sheer and screen fabrics are woven to cut glare and heat while keeping your view of the garden. They are popular on south-facing windows, in conservatories and in offices with screens, and they stop fading on furniture and flooring.
Moisture-resistant fabrics shrug off steam and splashes and wipe clean, which makes them the sensible pick for kitchens and bathrooms. If you want privacy at night but light by day in these rooms, our day and night blinds use the same roller mechanism with a two-layer fabric.
Finishes, Controls and Fitting Options
Once the fabric is chosen, the details decide how the blind looks and feels every day.
Headrail and cassette. An open roll is the most economical finish. A fascia or full cassette hides the tube for a tidy, built-in look, and in blackout fabrics it also closes the light gap along the top.
Bottom bar. Pick a fabric-wrapped bar for a soft finish or a slim aluminium bar in silver, chrome, black or anthracite to match your handles and fittings. Shaped and scalloped hems are available on many fabrics.
Controls. A sidewinder chain is standard and comes with a child safety device as described in our child safety advice. Or go chain-free with a battery motorised roller blind, operated from a remote, an app or your smart speaker. Our recent guide explains how motorised blinds work with smart home systems.
Recess or face fix. Inside the recess gives the cleanest look. Fitting to the wall or ceiling outside the recess covers more of the frame and cuts light bleed, and it is the usual answer for shallow sills, tiled reveals and radiators under the window.
Bays, bi-folds and wide spans. Bay windows take one blind per section with brackets angled so the fabric does not clash. For patio and bi-fold doors we fit wide or linked blinds that stack clear of the opening; our bi-fold door blinds guide covers what to look for.
Roller Blinds in Chorley, Measured and Fitted by Our Local Team
Chorley has been one of our busiest areas for roller blinds for years, and the mix of housing explains why. The new estates at Buckshaw Village and around Euxton are full of large windows, bi-fold doors and uPVC frames that suit a crisp, made-to-measure roller. The older stone terraces and semis in Adlington, Coppull and Whittle-le-Woods tend to have deeper, less regular recesses, where a professionally measured blind makes all the difference to how it sits and seals.
Our fitters are in Chorley most weeks. We bring the fabric samples to your home, measure every window ourselves and fit the finished blinds on a date that suits you, usually within around two weeks of your order. Measuring and fitting are free, the 3 year guarantee applies, and you can pay over time with Klarna.

Roller Blinds – FAQ
Q: How much do made-to-measure roller blinds cost?
A: Price depends on the size of the window, the fabric and any extras such as a cassette or motor. A standard dim-out roller on an average window is one of the most affordable made-to-measure blinds we offer, and blackout, screen and motorised options sit above that. We give a fixed price in writing after the free home measure, with no obligation. Request a quote to get started.
Q: Do you fit roller blinds in Chorley?
A: Yes. Our fitters cover Chorley town centre and the surrounding villages, including Euxton, Buckshaw Village, Adlington, Coppull, Whittle-le-Woods and Croston. Measuring and fitting are free, and most orders are installed within around two weeks. You can see the full range for the area on our blinds in Chorley page.
Q: What is the difference between blackout and dim-out roller blinds?
A: A dim-out fabric blocks the view and softens the light but still lets a glow through. A blackout fabric has a coated backing that stops light passing through the cloth itself. For a truly dark room, pair a blackout fabric with a cassette or side channels to close the gaps around the edge.
Q: Can roller blinds be fitted to bay windows and bi-fold doors?
A: Yes. Bay windows take one blind per pane, with the brackets angled so the blinds sit neatly together at the corners. For bi-fold and patio doors we fit wide or linked roller blinds, usually outside the recess so the fabric clears the handles and the doors can still open. See our guide to roller blinds for bi-fold doors.
Q: Are roller blinds suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?
A: They are one of the best choices. Our moisture-resistant fabrics are made to cope with steam and splashes and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. If you want daytime light with night-time privacy in these rooms, a day and night blind on the same roller mechanism is worth a look.
Q: Can I have motorised roller blinds?
A: Yes. We fit battery-powered motorised rollers with no wiring and no redecorating, controlled by remote, app or voice assistant. They are ideal for tall windows, bi-folds, skylights and anywhere a chain would be awkward or unsafe. Find out more on our motorised blinds page.
Q: How do I clean a roller blind?
A: Most fabrics only need a light dusting or a run over with the soft brush attachment on a vacuum. Marks can usually be lifted with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, working from the back of the fabric. Avoid soaking the blind and let it dry fully open.
